An Ethiopian Airlines cargo plane was denied clearance to land in Israel. This plane which came from Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, had to return midway. Israel took this decision because the pilot was an Indonesian citizen.

Israel does not have diplomatic relations with Indonesia. According to Israeli media reports, this incident happened late on Sunday night. After this, the pilot of the plane was changed and the responsibility was given to another pilot, who had permission to land in Israel.

This matter has come to light at a time when Israel has tightened security rules for foreign airlines after the attack of a pilot on a flydubai flight going from Dubai to Tel Aviv.
