Kejriwal had resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Delhi on September 17. After this he had announced to leave the government residence and all government facilities.
Former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal will shift to a new house today. The house in Mandi House area has been finalized for Kejriwal. He will stay in the bungalow allotted to AAP Rajya Sabha MP and Lovely Professional University Chancellor Dr Ashok Mittal on Ferozshah Road. They will vacate the CM residence located on Flag Staff Road and come here.
Kejriwal had resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Delhi on September 17. After this he had announced to leave the government residence and all government facilities. However, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had demanded the Central Government to provide accommodation to Kejriwal as the national party chief, but there was no response from the government on this.
Kejriwal is now an MLA from New Delhi Assembly constituency and MLAs there do not get government accommodation. Before becoming CM, he lived in Kaushambi area of Ghaziabad.
On September 17, Kejriwal submitted his resignation to LG Saxena.
Manish Sisodia will also vacate government residence
Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia can also vacate his government bungalow today itself. He had got AB-17 on Mathura Road, but after leaving the post he also has to vacate the bungalow. Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj had said on Thursday that Manish will also vacate his bungalow on October 4 itself.
Manish Sisodia will shift to the bungalow allotted to Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab Harbhajan Singh. Harbhajan Singh has been allotted a government bungalow at 32, Rajendra Prasad Road. Sisodia has also got a havan performed before shifting to the new house.

September 13: Kejriwal gets bail from the Supreme Court. On March 21, 2024, ED arrested Kejriwal from his house after two hours of questioning in the liquor policy case. Since then he was in Tihar jail. The Supreme Court granted him bail on 13 September 2024, 177 days after his arrest.

September 21: Atishi took oath as the CM of Delhi. On September 21, Atishi took oath as the 9th Chief Minister of Delhi. Lieutenant Governor (LG) Vinay Saxena administered him the oath at the Raj Nivas. Atishi had touched the feet of Arvind Kejriwal after the oath.
Atishi is the youngest (43 years) CM of Delhi. Earlier, Kejriwal had become CM at the age of 45. Atishi is the third woman CM of Delhi after Sushma Swaraj and Sheila Dikshit.
After Atishi, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot, Imran Hussain and Mukesh Ahlawat took oath as ministers. Mukesh Ahlawat is the only new face in the cabinet.
Atishi retained 13 departments including education, PWD and finance. At the same time, Saurabh Bhardwaj was given the responsibility of 8 major departments including Health.
