A Hindu temple was attacked with bricks on Friday in Ohio, USA. The temple suffered a lot of damage in the attack. According to the Hindu American Foundation, the Shri Swaminarayan Vadtal Dham Hindu Temple in Richmond Heights was targeted at 1:30 pm. The attackers threw bricks at the temple building. The Coalition of Hindus of North America reported that the temple’s windows were broken with bricks. Priests and devotees were present inside the temple at the time of the incident. Hindu American Foundation said that CCTV footage of the incident is available. Officials are investigating them. The organization has asked to provide information to the FBI and Civil Rights. According to Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh USA, there have been more than 15 incidents of vandalism targeting Hindu temples in America in the last 5 years. These included 6 BAPS temples. Hindu American Foundation called it a hate crime. The foundation said that it could be a possible hate crime. According to the organization, this incident has happened at a time when rhetoric full of hatred and violence against the Hindu-American community has increased in America. The organization has asked the law enforcement agencies to arrest the attackers soon.
