Two F-18 fighter jets of the US Navy collided in the air during an air show on Sunday at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho, USA. After the collision, both the planes went down in flames.
The accident happened during the Gunfighter Skies air show. According to initial reports, it included the Navy’s Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and Boeing EA-18G Growler. After the accident the entire Air Force base was locked down. The rest of the day’s air show was cancelled.
Both pilots are said to be safe.
