After the death of Hamas chief Haniyeh, Iran had talked about taking revenge from Israel.

The US has sent a submarine equipped with guided missiles and an aircraft carrier equipped with F-35C fighter jets to the Middle East. This decision has been taken in view of the growing fears of war between Israel and Iran.

This decision has been taken after talks between Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant and US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin. The US Defense Minister said that America is committed to protecting Israel.

Earlier on August 1, the Washington Post reported that the US has deployed 12 new warships in the Middle East. US President Joe Biden promised to protect Israel during a phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

America is going to send USS Abraham Lincoln, one of its best aircraft carriers, to the Middle East.

Lufthansa cancels flights to Israel
German airline company Lufthansa has extended the ban on flights to Israel, Iran and Lebanon. Now Lufthansa has cancelled all flights till 21st August. Along with this, Lufthansa has also refused to use the airspace of Iran and Iraq.

Earlier, Indian airline company Air India had also cancelled its flights to Israel indefinitely.

China came out in support of Iran
Amid the growing threat of war between Iran and Israel, China has supported Iran. On Sunday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi spoke to Iranian Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani over the phone. During the conversation, Wang Yi said that China supports Iran in protecting its sovereignty.

Wang Yi also condemned the attack on Hamas chief Haniyeh in Iran. The Chinese Foreign Minister said that the killing of the Hamas chief has violated Iran’s sovereignty. This has increased the threat to regional stability.

Hamas chief Haniyeh was assassinated in Iran on 31 July last month. According to Iran, Haniyeh was attacked with a short-range missile.

‘Deployment of weapons increased to protect its soldiers in the area’
The US had decided to send weapons to support Israel and protect US troops in the region. It had increased the number of its warships in the Middle East and the Mediterranean Sea since the Israel-Hamas war began in October last year.

The US has two Navy destroyers in the region, USS Roosevelt, USS Bulkley, USS Wasp and carriers like USS New York. USS Wasp and New York have been deployed to quickly withdraw US troops from the area in case of escalation of tensions.

Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh killed in Tehran: Iran accuses Israel of firing missiles at home; America says if there is retaliation, we will stand with Israel

Hamas’ political chief Ismail Haniyeh has been killed. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has confirmed this. IRGC said on Wednesday morning that Haniyeh’s hideout in Tehran was attacked with a missile at 2 am (4 am Indian time). Haniyeh and one of his bodyguards were killed in this.
