America has recalled all its B-1 bomber aircraft from Fairford Airbase in Britain. About 12 B-1 bombers were stationed here. The Pentagon confirmed this on Sunday. A woman had informed the police about 3 suspicious vans. After the police received information, security was increased in the area and 85 houses around the airbase were evacuated. In the pictures, barrel-like things were seen inside these vans. One of these vans had a fake logo and phone number on it, making it look like a vehicle of a genuine diesel supply company. No explosives were found in the van during investigation. Lawrence Taylor, head of National Counter Terrorism Policing, had said that some quantity of petrol was recovered from there. Five British men were arrested. After this incident, five British men aged between 23 to 25 years living in London were arrested. Later everyone was released on bail. A British-Iranian national was also arrested in London on 1 October during the investigation. According to police, his arrest was made in connection with the investigation of a suspicious incident that took place near Fairford Air Base. Later he was also released on bail. US President Donald Trump had said on granting bail to the accused that he does not do so. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio had expressed fear of involvement of some foreign power (Iran) in the matter. Iran later rejected these allegations. Fairford was being used for operations against Iran. In March, Britain had given permission to America to use RAF Fairford for special defensive operations against Iran. Since then, American bombers and other military aircraft have been seen taking off and returning from here. This airbase was opened in 1944 during World War II. The runway of this airbase is about 9,990 feet i.e. 3 kilometers long.
