America has started celebrating 250 years of independence. Parades, historic events, concerts and community events are taking place in 50 states, including Philadelphia, New York and Washington, DC. The White House has claimed that there will be the biggest fireworks in history in the capital. On July 4, 1776, 13 British colonies decided to separate from Britain with the Declaration of Independence. America has named this event ‘America 250’. Despite the scorching heat and fear of bad weather, a large number of people are attending the celebrations. The bells were rung at 12 noon in Philadelphia.
