Rape incidents happen at many tourist spots in India
The Foreign Ministry said that incidents of rape and molestation have taken place at many tourist spots in India. Terrorists in India can attack without any warning. They target tourist spots, stations, bus stands, markets, shopping malls and government buildings.

The advisory said that the US government may face problems in providing help to citizens in rural areas of India.

Manipur placed in level-4 category
Manipur has been placed in the level-4 category and special advice has been given to avoid travelling here due to violence and crime. It has been said that there have been reports of violence and migration due to ethnic conflict in Manipur.

The advisory states that attacks on Indian government bases keep happening in Manipur and even US officials visiting India have to take permission to visit Manipur. Similarly, violence keeps happening in Jammu and Kashmir except Ladakh. This is common in the Kashmir Valley and the AOC.

Advice not to go to Naxalite areas
The Naxal problem has also been mentioned in the travel advisory. It has been said that Naxalites are active in a large area of ​​India. They are spread from Maharashtra to Telangana and West Bengal.

There are frequent attacks on Indian government officials in the rural areas of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand bordering Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Odisha. It is said that obtaining permission before traveling to these areas is necessary.
