A young man from Amritsar died in Dubai. He was the only son of his parents. With the help of Sarbat Da Bhala Trust, his body reached Sri Guru Ramdas Ji International Airport in Amritsar today. As soon as the body arrived, the young man’s family received it with teary eyes.

According to the information, 33-year-old Jagbir Singh was a resident of village Thigli in Kapurthala. He was the sole support of his elderly parents and was not even married yet. Like other youths, he went to Dubai about 5 years ago with the dream of a better future and died on August 1 due to a brain artery rupture.

The body came with the help of Sarbat Da Bhala Trust

Dr. Oberoi, the trustee of Sarbat Da Bhala Trust, said that after getting information about this matter, his team, with the help of the Indian Embassy, ​​completed all the paperwork required to send Jagbir Singh’s body to India. While the entire expense incurred in sending his body to India was borne by Bhawanigarh Transport owners Jatinderpal Singh and Manjit Singh.

Monthly pension given to family members

Dr. SP Singh said that a few days ago, he had brought the bodies of Jagbir Singh’s elderly parents, young Bikramjit Singh of Madhushunga village in Ajnala town and Palwinder Singh of Shamnagar village in Majitha to India and the bodies were handed over to the heirs. Their families have also been given a monthly pension of Rs 2000 each by the trust.

The trust has brought 372 bodies to India so far

Chairman Sukhjinder Singh Her, Majha Zone Advisor Sukhdeep Sidhu, President Sheeshpal Singh Ladi, General Secretary Manpreet Sandhu Chamiari, Treasurer Navjeet Ghai and Parminder Singh Sandhu said that due to the efforts of Dr. Oberoi, till now the bodies of about 372 unfortunate people have been delivered to their heirs.

Pension facility for financial support

Meanwhile, Jagbir Singh’s father Balkar Singh, brothers Harpal Singh, Navjeet Singh, brother-in-law Sukhjinder Singh and friend Amandeep Singh reached the airport to receive the body. They thanked Singh Oberoi for this great initiative and said that it is only due to his efforts that their family has got the privilege of seeing Jagbir Singh for the last time and pension facility has been provided for the financial support of the family.
