The Taliban has banned nursing training for Afghan women. According to news agency AFP, a meeting was recently held between health officials and officials of educational institutions in Kabul in which the decision of the Taliban government was announced.
An official of the Health Ministry in Afghanistan said that there has been no official statement in this matter but during the meeting itself, they were told the Taliban’s order that women and girls can no longer study in these institutions. No reason was given for this.
Cricketer Rashid Khan expressed concern over the decision of Taliban and said that this decision of Taliban will have a deep impact on Afghanistan because the country is already facing shortage of medical and paramedical staff.
Rashid further wrote-
Education has an important place in Islamic education, which is considered necessary for both men and women. I am deeply saddened by the closure of educational and medical institutions for women in Afghanistan.
Former Afghanistan captain Mohammad Nabi said that the decision to ban girls from medical studies is not right. Islam has always emphasized the importance of education for all.

Amnesty said – Afghanistan has the highest maternal mortality rate, it will increase further. The United Nations Mission in Afghanistan has also appealed to the Taliban government to reconsider its decision. The mission said that this decision will have a negative impact on the health system and development of the country.
Amnesty International said that most women in Afghanistan die while giving birth to children. There is already a shortage of medical staff in the country. The Taliban’s decision will have a devastating impact on the country.
According to BBC, due to this decision of Taliban, the last avenue of education for women in the country has also been closed. The Taliban recaptured Afghanistan in 2021. Since then he has imposed many restrictions on women.
First of all, women working in different government institutions had their jobs snatched away. Then restrictions were imposed on his studies. In Afghanistan, women can study only till sixth grade.
