The US has deployed more than 10,000 US Navy personnel, Marines and airmen to enforce the blockade of all Iranian ports. Apart from this, a dozen warships and a dozen aircraft are deployed in the sky to carry out this blockade. America says that during the first 24 hours no ship was able to cross the American blockade.

Apart from this, 6 cargo ships, following the instructions of the US Army, turned back and headed towards a port located on the Gulf of Oman. iranRe-entered the port.

CENTCOM’s official tweet and infographic clearly states that this blockade is equally applicable to ships of all countries. The purpose of this blockade is to stop ships entering and leaving Iranian ports, but Strait of Hormuz Those ships passing through Iran which are not going to Iranian ports have freedom.

An infographic by US Central Command shows that the red line of the blockade has been drawn along the coast of Iran, which will completely stop Iranian oil exports and imports.

According to America, more than 10 thousand American servicemen are involved in this mission. More than 100 fighters and surveillance aircraft have been deployed in this mission.

America has invested its huge military power in this mission. This includes aircraft carriers, amphibious assault ships, guided missile destroyers, littoral combat ships.

This campaign is being considered a part of increasing economic pressure on Iran. This is likely to cause a huge blow to Iran’s economy dependent on oil exports. CENTCOM stressed that the blockade is impartial and limited only to Iranian ports.

Meanwhile, President Trump has said that peace talks can be held once again in Pakistan in the next two days.

Pakistan has also said that Islamabad has proposed a second round of talks with America and Iran.

US Vice President JD Vance earlier said “some progress has been made” in talks with Iran, and US President Donald Trump said on Monday “the other side has called us in” and “they want to make a deal.”

Pakistani officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter with the press.

Current status of blockade of the Strait of Hormuz

America has not completely blockaded the Strait of Hormuz. According to CENTCOM’s statement and infographic, US forces are providing safe passage to all ships bound for non-Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz such as Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman etc.

Only ships entering or leaving Iranian ports like Bandar Abbas, Bushehr, Chabahar are being stopped.

This will not have a direct impact on global oil supply, but Iran’s oil exports will be reduced to almost zero. CENTCOM has made it clear that the Strait of Hormuz will remain open and only Iranian ships/cargo related to Iran are being targeted.
