Shiv Sena (UBT) had released the list of 15 candidates on Saturday morning.
Shiv Sena (UBT) announced the names of five more candidates on Saturday (26 October) night. The party has fielded Harun Khan from Versova, Sanjay Bhalerao from Ghatkopar West and Sandeep Naik from Vile Parle.
Of these, Congress and NCP (SP) had staked their claim on Versova and Ghatkopar West seats. Whereas, Vinod Ghosalkar, father of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Abhishek Ghosalkar, has been given ticket from Dahisar seat.
On the night of February 8, 2024, former councilor Abhishek Ghoshalkar was shot dead. He was live on Facebook during the incident. The accused in the attack, Morris Noronha, also committed suicide by shooting himself with four bullets.
Uddhav wanted Abhishek’s wife Tejaswini to contest from Dahisar seat. Abhishek’s father, former MLA Vinod Ghosalkar was also seeking ticket from the same seat. For this reason this seat was kept on hold. The party has fielded Bhairulal Jain from the fifth seat, Malabar Hill.

The second list of 15 names was released in the morning itself. Shiv Sena (UBT) had released the list of 15 candidates on Saturday morning. In this, Anil Chaudhary was made the candidate from Shivadi Assembly. Sudhir Salvi, Honorary Secretary of Lalbagh Raja Mandal was also seeking ticket from here, but Anil Choudhary’s name was finalized.
Shiv Sena (UBT) has announced a total of 85 candidates so far. Under the seat sharing of MVA, Uddhav faction, NCP Sharad faction and Congress will contest on 85-85 seats. However, Sanjay Raut had said on October 24 that his party would contest elections on 100 seats.

There were 65 names in the first list of Shiv Sena (UBT). In MVA, Shiv Sena (UBT) was the first to release the list on the evening of 23 October. There were 65 names in it. Uddhav’s son Aditya Thackeray was made the candidate from Worli. Kedar Dighe was given the ticket from Kopri Pachpakhadi in front of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

In Maharashtra, there is a government of Mahayuti i.e. Shiv Sena, BJP and Ajit Pawar faction of NCP.
