Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has said that talks regarding a free trade deal with India are going on at a fast pace. He called this agreement a game changer for Canadian businesses and workers. Carney posted on social media that this deal will give Canada a big market like India. In the meeting with Union Minister Piyush Goyal, he discussed increasing cooperation in sectors like energy, agriculture, technology and education. Piyush Goyal is currently on a three-day visit to Canada. He said that India and Canada aim to complete the free trade agreement by the end of this year. Both the countries want to increase mutual trade from $17 billion to $50 billion by 2030. Goyal said that during this tour, the largest ever business delegation of 112 companies from India has reached Canada. This includes companies from many sectors including energy, pharma, tech, automobile and agriculture.
