Bhatt had jaundice in jail
Bhatt told that his health deteriorated further during jail and he developed jaundice. He said, “I almost died there. Now I don’t know what the politics were there, because people were nice to me, but I suffer from an autoimmune disease, ankylosing spondylitis. It causes pain in my joints and muscles.”
The filmmaker further said that it was the month of December-January and it was very cold. I started having pain in my hip bone on the side on which I slept. If I turned to the other side, pain would start there. During this time I also developed jaundice.

Vikram claimed delay in taking him to hospital
Bhatt claimed that despite high fever and weakness, there was a delay in taking him to the hospital. He said that fellow prisoners in the barracks used to help him by covering him with their blankets, while he continuously demanded to be sent to the hospital.
After his release, he received calls from some people in the film industry. Bhatt told that Mithun Chakraborty and Sanjay Dutt asked about his well being. He said that Sanjay Dutt’s call was special for him because they had never worked together.
When he was asked whether Akshay Kumar also contacted him, he said that Akshay is not his friend, so such a thing was not expected.
Bhatt also mentioned his childhood friend Ajay Devgan. He said that it was natural for Ajay to call because their relationship is years old. According to Bhatt, the nature of every relationship is different and it is not fair to have the same expectations from everyone.
