Recently, filmmaker Prahlad Kakkar shared many stories related to this contest. He told that before winning the Miss India title, Sushmita felt that Aishwarya would become a winner.

Prahlada Kakkar said that at that time Sushmita felt that Miss India Contest is fixed in favor of Aishwarya Rai.

In a conversation with Vicky Lalwani, Prahlad Kakkar said, Sushmita was sad to think that she is new and knew anyone, while Aishwarya was already a ‘Lakme girl’ and top model. For this reason, everyone’s attention was on them.

Prahlada Kakkar is a well-known ad and creative director.

He told that once he saw Sushmita crying in the changing room.

Prahlada said, “I remember, I suddenly went to the changing room. Sushmita was crying in a corner. I asked – what happened? So he said – all is fixed. I will never win. I said – You are stupid?

According to Prahlada, later Sushmita won the contest and thanked him and thanked him for this courage.

In 1994, Sushmita Sen won the contest of Miss India. At the same time, Aishwarya was the first runner-up in this competition.

Prahlada Kakkar also made it clear that at that time several media reports had said a tough rivalry between Aishwarya and Sushmita. However, according to him, it was not so.

Kakkar said, “The reality was that Aishwarya was new at that time. Her career had just begun. She was a little Raw. While Sushmita was more polished because she studied at the convent school. That is why when the question and answer in English were better, Sushmita’s performance was better. Aishwarya was not so fluent.”

Prahlada further stated that Aishwarya was not comfortable to speak English in the beginning.

He said, “In the early stages of career, she did not have confidence to handle himself in English. So she used to give interviews in Tulu, Konkani and Hindi, but not in English. People understood that she was Rood. The truth was that she was afraid.”
