Physics teacher arrested from Pune in NEET-UG paper leak case is accused of sharing questions and content related to the exam with some students in exchange for money. CBI had given this information to the Pune court. Later Manisha was brought to Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi.
Special Judge Ajay Gupta has sent him to CBI custody for six days. CBI had sought custody of Manisha for interrogation and face to face confrontation with the other accused. CBI had arrested the constable on May 22.
Actually, Principal Havildar of Seth Hiralal Saraf Prashala was working as an empaneled translator of Physics for NEET UG-2026. Manisha, along with the other accused, had circulated the physics questions that had come for translation.
According to news agency PTI, CBI claims that in the investigation so far, it has found out the real source of the paper leak, but CBI has not disclosed it.

Seth Hiralal Saraswati Prashala, a senior physics lecturer at a Maharashtra school, was suspended by the school after her arrest.
Manisha was a Physics lecturer at the institute since 1992. He holds MSc, BEd degrees. She is scheduled to retire on June 30.
After the NEET exam held on May 3, the news of its paper leak came to light. In this case, 11 accused have been arrested from Delhi, Jaipur, Gurugram, Nashik, Pune, Latur and Ahilyanagar.
3 claims of CBI against accused Manisha Havildar…
- CBI told the court that investigation revealed that the constable had taken Rs 20,000 from a student and Rs 25,000 from another person.
- The handwritten notes containing questions related to NEET were prepared by Havildar during his duty at NTA and were kept with him.
- After sharing the paper, the constable deleted all his chats with Mandhare and burnt the notes containing physics questions.

News of suicide of another NEET student in Latur
A farmer from Latur, Maharashtra has claimed that his 18-year-old daughter committed suicide due to stress after the NEET exam was canceled due to paper leak. Maithili Ashok Sonawane, resident of Gondegaon village, committed suicide by hanging herself from a tree in her field on the morning of 16 May. Police said that his postmortem and other legal formalities have been completed.
Maithili’s father Ashok Vitthal Sonawane gave a statement to the police on Sunday, claiming that Maithili, who had given the examination held on May 3, Was under mental stress due to cancellation of exam. She could not handle it and committed suicide.
NEET exam canceled on 12th May, will be held again on 21st June
NEET-UG exam was held on May 3 in 551 cities of the country and 14 centers abroad. About 23 lakh candidates had appeared in it. According to NTA, information about irregularities in the examination was received on the evening of May 7. After this the matter was handed over to the central agencies. On May 12, the exam was canceled and the decision to re-exam was taken.
