A major railway accident was averted in the Chakradharpur railway division of West Bengal on Monday. Unidentified people had conspired to commit a big accident by tampering with railway tracks on the third line of Howrah-Mumbai main railroad in Manoharpur police station area of West Singhbhum district, but the vigilance and suggestion of the keyman on duty in the railway was postponed in time.
The incident is near Ghaghra village in Manoharpur. The Keman, who was doing duty on the railway line here, was blown away when he saw that the pendrol clip of the railway track for about 1.75 km – also known as the key of the railway line – has been opened. The pendrol clip was removed from the line and thrown at the same place. The incident took place between railway kilometers poll number 364/1A to 366/11A.

Realizing the seriousness of the situation, Keyman immediately informed the Poseta Station Master. As soon as the information was received, there was a stir in the divisional headquarters. Taking immediate action, the operation of trains on the third line had to be stopped between Goelkera and Manoharpur at 11:23 am.
After this, RPF, Manoharpur police station and senior railway officers reached the spot and inspected the spot. The investigation found that the pendrol clip poll number opened near the number 366/5A was collected and thrown away. The railway team started repairing the repair work quickly and a few hours later the traffic on the third railway line was restored.

Railway sources say that the opening of pendrol clips for such a long distance is like inviting a major accident. Who is behind this conspiracy, it is not known at the moment. The case is being investigated by RPF and District Police.

However, the final conclusion on this can be imposed only after the completion of the investigation. Railways and security agencies are in alert mode and are trying to reach the bottom of the case.
