4. Girl’s body found in blue drum, heart tattoo on hand

The body of a girl was found in a blue drum in Patiala on Tuesday. This drum was lying in the Railway Colony. The killers stuffed the body inside the drum and placed a red lid on top, so that no one could suspect anything. As soon as the information was received, police teams reached the spot.
The girl has “Neha” written on one hand, while a heart is tattooed on the other hand. The English letters ‘N’ and ‘A’ are inscribed inside this tattoo. There are scratch marks on the girl’s face. The body was taken into custody and sent to Rajindra Hospital. Police suspect that due to love affair, the girl was murdered, packed in a drum and thrown away. The girl’s family hails from Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, but is currently living in Punjabi Bagh, Patiala.
The murder was also done at another place and after packing the body in a drum, it was put in a car and thrown here. Investigating officer of Patiala Police, Gurvinder Singh has said that on Tuesday morning at around 5.15 am, Police Station Urban Estate, Patiala had received an information over telephone. 5. Young man murdered, head and face crushed with stone

A young man was brutally murdered near Sherpur Chowk in Ludhiana. His body was found lying in an empty plot. Stones were thrown on the face of the young man, due to which his face was badly damaged. The deceased has been identified as Brijlal, who was a resident of Nawanshahr.
Police of Police Station Division No. 6 have registered a case of murder against two people and started investigation. Both the accused have also been arrested. During interrogation, the accused told that they wanted more liquor. But he did not have money. So they planned to snatch money from someone. They saw a young man sitting in front of the shop.
He talked to the young man and took him with him to a secluded place. Both of them supported the young man and took him to a nearby vacant plot. There he took out money from the young man’s pocket. When he protested, both of them beat the young man brutally and hit his face and head repeatedly with stones. 6. Fire broke out in Gurudwara in Amritsar, stampede broke out

A tent caught fire at Gurdwara Baba Deep Singh Ji Shaheed Ganj Sahib in Amritsar. This caused a stampede among the devotees here. Four days ago, on Sunday, two women had died when the shuttering of the Langar Hall of the same Gurudwara collapsed, while about 9 devotees were injured.

9. Girl called for prostitution, young man said- blackmailed

The dispute escalated when the girl reached home for the third time. The young man and his companions caught the girl. The girl said that the young man himself had called her and for the first time she was not given money.
