A stampede broke out near the Vaikuntha Dwar Darshan ticket counter at Tirupati Balaji Temple in Andhra Pradesh late on Wednesday night at 9:30 pm. Four people including a woman died in this accident. There are reports of many people being injured. However, some media reports are claiming the death of 6 devotees.
Actually, more than 4 thousand devotees were standing in the queue near the counter. At the same time, devotees were asked to queue up at Bairagi Pattida Park. There was chaos in the race to go ahead. People jumped on each other while running away. This suffocated people. A woman named Mallika died on the spot.

For this, people were standing in line to get the token. Vaikuntha gate was to be opened on 10 January.

Lord Vishnu is called Vyankateshwar It is said about this temple that it is built on the seven peaks of Mount Meru, its seven peaks are said to symbolize the seven hoods of Sheshnag. These peaks are called Sheshadri, Neeladri, Garudadri, Anjanadri, Vrishtadri, Narayanadri and Vyankatadri.
Of these, Lord Vishnu is seated on the peak named Vyankatadri and that is why he is known as Vyankateshwar.
The entire idol can be seen only on Fridays Balaji is seen thrice a day in the temple. The first darshan is called Vishvarupa, which occurs in the morning. The second darshan takes place in the afternoon and the third darshan takes place at night. The entire idol of Lord Balaji can be seen only on Friday morning at the time of Abhishekam.
Lord Balaji gave personal darshan to Ramanujacharya here. Apart from the temple of Balaji, there are many other temples here, such as Akash Ganga, Papanashak Tirtha, Vaikuntha Tirtha, Jalavitiertha, Tiruchanur. All these places are associated with the pastimes of God. It is said that Shri Ramanujacharya ji lived for about one hundred and fifty years and served Lord Vishnu all his life, as a result of which it was here that the Lord appeared to him in person.
