Tamil Nadu BSP president K. Armstrong (52) was shot dead by six assailants outside his home in Chennai on Friday evening. According to police, Armstrong was outside his house on Venugopal Street in Sembium at around 7 pm along with some party workers.
Meanwhile, six people came on two bikes and surrounded him and attacked him with sharp weapons. After Armstrong fell, the attackers fled. After this, the workers present with him took him to the hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.
After the incident, BSP workers raised slogans against the police administration. On the other hand, the police have registered a case of murder and formed ten teams to search for the accused. The police have expressed suspicion that this incident may be related to the murder of gangster Arcot Suresh last year.
