Farmers say that on November 26, Punjab Police had detained Dallewal. At that time his weight was around 86.800 kg. After coming back from there, his weight has decreased by 4 kg. He has been on death row since 26th November. A new stage has been built at the front for Dallewal. From today onwards he will continue his fast by sitting here. Farmers have also been put on duty around the stage.
Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher told that today at 11 am in Kisan Bhawan, Chandigarh. Kisan United Front (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee will hold a joint press conference. In which the strategy for the coming days will be told.
Khanauri border stage preparations have been made for Jagjit Singh Dallewal. Dallewal will continue his fast on this stage.
Said- Will not let anyone reach Dallewal
Farmer leaders say that all the farmers are safe. Now no one will be allowed to reach Jagjit Singh Dallewal. One can move forward only by killing us or crossing our dead bodies.
At the same time, women farmers say that when Dallewal had announced his vow to die, the women farmers had also announced to join the struggle. Earlier there used to be only men in the pahars, but due to the failure of the government, now women also have to come.
To ensure that the police does not take any action against Dallewal again, his security has been increased.
Farmer leaders of 6 states met
A day earlier on Saturday, Kisan Mazdoor Morcha held a meeting with leaders of farmer organizations of 6 states. The meeting was presided over by farmer leaders PT Zone from Kerala and Guramneet Singh Mangat from Punjab. Farmers said that the detention of Dallewal exposes the double character of the Aam Aadmi Party government. A consensus has been reached among all the organizations regarding the preparations for the Delhi march on 6th December. Arrangements for langars, security management and number of volunteers were discussed in the meeting.
After being released, Dallewal said 4 important things…
1. I was not allowed to take my mobile with me where I was kept.
After being discharged from Ludhiana DMC Hospital, Jagjit Singh Dallewal said- Picked me up from Khanauri at night and admitted me to the hospital. Where I was kept, I was not allowed to take my mobile phone. Other patients were also not allowed to bring mobile phones. The truth was that I was kept under house arrest here. I have come out because of the hard work of the farmers.
2. Made several attempts to test
These people kept trying hard to give me treatment. Tried many things like blood tests, giving medicines, doing tests. If I did not have to sit on the fast of death, I would have drank the policemen’s tea.
3. We have no quarrel with Punjab
The fighting began on 13 February. This fight is to save the future of farmers. The only way left to take this fight forward peacefully is for the leaders to prepare to sacrifice their lives. Whatever the Punjab government did, it did it while sitting at the mercy of the Centre. We have no dispute with Punjab. Punjab government has nothing to do with us.
