Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandes appeared in Delhi’s Patiala House Court on Wednesday in a money laundering case of Rs 200 crore. During the court hearing, the actress declared all the allegations against her completely false and rejected them. As soon as the court proceedings were over, Jacqueline left the premises straight away. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is investigating Jacqueline’s role and money transactions with the main accused Sukesh Chandrashekhar in this case. Allegations rejected in court: Jacqueline Fernandes had reached Delhi’s Patiala House Court on Wednesday. There was a debate in the court regarding the charges being framed against him. While presenting her side before the judge, Jacqueline said that all the allegations of money laundering leveled against her are baseless. He has clearly denied being involved in any kind of wrong transaction. After completion of the hearing, videos and pictures of Jacqueline leaving the court premises have also surfaced, where she left in her car without talking to the media. What is this case of 200 crores? This entire case is related to high-profile swindler Sukesh Chandrashekhar. Sukesh is accused of extorting Rs 200 crore from Aditi Singh, wife of former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Singh, from inside Delhi’s Rohini jail. Investigating agency ED claims that Sukesh had spent a large part of this recovery amount on Jacqueline Fernandes and her family. Sukesh had given gifts worth crores of rupees to woo Jacqueline. Jacqueline is an accused in ED’s supplementary charge sheet. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had also made Jacqueline Fernandes an accused in its supplementary charge sheet filed after investigating this case. ED says that Jacqueline had prior knowledge about Sukesh’s criminal background and extortion money, yet she continued to receive expensive gifts from him. These gifts included luxury cars, expensive branded bags, clothes, jewelery and many expensive pets. Legal team’s argument – Jacqueline herself is a victim. On the other hand, Jacqueline Fernandes’s legal team is continuously arguing in the court that the actress is completely innocent in this case. Her lawyers say that Jacqueline herself is a victim of Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s conspiracy and she had befriended Sukesh considering him a businessman. During the investigation, many personal pictures of Sukesh and Jacqueline also went viral on social media. At present, the court is deciding how to proceed with the case based on the allegations.
