A sudden firing incident caused panic during a wedding ceremony at Hotel Royal Park located in Greater Kailash area of Jammu. Many leaders including Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chaudhary and National Conference patron Farooq Abdullah were present at the ceremony. Meanwhile, a person silently reached the center of the program and came quietly from behind and fired a shot from close range. Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chaudhary was hit by shrapnel and injured in the firing, while Farooq Abdullah is said to be safe.
Police say that the attack took place during a wedding ceremony at Royal Park in Greater Kailash, Jammu. The name of the attacker is Kamal Singh who is a resident of Purani Mandi area of Jammu.
