Around 8 lakh passengers are stranded at stations due to the attack. Eurostar company said that they have cancelled many trains. The attack has had the most impact on the railway lines going from London to Paris. In view of the attack, the company has diverted all its trains. France’s state-owned railway company SNCF has issued a warning for all passengers. They have been advised not to go to stations. SNCF has put hundreds of its workers to work on restoring train system. France’s Transport Minister Patrice Vergerite has condemned the attack through a post on social media. She said that she is in constant touch with SNCF.

Attack on 3 high speed train lines
According to the New York Times, service has been halted on three high-speed train lines in France. These include the Atlantic, Northern and Eastern lines. The attack started in the French city of Arles, which is about 160 km from Paris. After this, the second attack took place on the Tours and Le Mans line in the city of Courtlain. This city is about 144 km from Paris.

The SNCF chief said that attempts were made to paralyse our rail network and traffic at night. There have been three incidents of arson on TGV lines running in the west, north and east of Paris. The arson attempt on the railway line going south to Lyon and the Mediterranean Sea was foiled.

After the fire, the fire brigade team started extinguishing the fire.

Olympics start in France today
