Iran’s Parliament has approved the proposal to collect toll from ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. According to Iran’s Mehr News Agency, ships from countries whose ships are allowed to pass through Hormuz will be charged a fee for maritime services. According to Hassan Kashkavi, spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament, facilities like maritime services, security and insurance will be provided in exchange for the fees.
