At the time of the incident, both the employees were coming out of the Capital Jewish Museum. The Israeli embassy said the spokesperson said that both of them had recently engaged and were about to get married soon.
The police have arrested the accused. He has been identified as Alias Rodriguez. He is 30 years old. He is a resident of Chicago. During the arrest, he was raising slogans to liberate Palestine.

Police chief Pamela Smith said that a suspect was seen walking outside the museum before the firing. He fired bullets on a group of four people who came out, killing a man and a woman.
The incident took place in the crowded area of the city, where many museums, government offices and the office of FBI are also present.
