Pathan Majra gave an interview to a private channel in Australia and cornered the Punjab CM on the action being taken against him. He described CM Bhagwant Mann as inexperienced and said that the ministers and MLAs of the state remained as dummies. MLA does not have the status of five paise in the government. This interview was uploaded on a private channel on 7 November.

Pathan Majra said that he is currently in Australia. Right now I am not in touch with anyone. After getting the bail done, I will go to my constituency and then meet the people and decide what will be the next step.

Pathan Majra also said that Rs 1000 was not given to women in Punjab but they are promising Rs 3000 in Bihar. This is their system of lying. However, there has been no response from the Aam Aadmi Party or the government in this matter yet.

On September 3, an FIR was registered against AAP MLA Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra at Civil Lines police station in Patiala. The allegation is that he cheated a woman by claiming himself to be a divorcee.

According to the police, an attempt was made to arrest him in Dabri village of Karnal district of Haryana. During this, the supporters fired and pelted stones at the police. Amidst the uproar, Pathan Majra escaped in Scorpio and Fortuner vehicles.

Before the FIR was registered, Pathan Majra had gone live on social media and raised questions on the AAP leadership of Delhi.

• False case filed against me, this is a family matter:Pathan Majra has said in the interview that a false case has been registered against him. The truth of this case is that in this case a DIG level officer has given a report in the High Court that this is their family matter and Section 376 does not arise in it. Now a Sub Inspector level officer is filing an FIR in the same case.
• If CM has experience then MLA becomes powerful: MLA further said that the MLA of the state whose CM is experienced is powerful. Because the CM listens to each and every MLA and works accordingly. Where the CM does not have experience, the MLA becomes a dummy. This is what is happening in Punjab.
• Punjab CM will raise whatever issue Kejriwal says: Pathan Majra said that whatever issue Arvind Kejriwal says, the Punjab CM will raise the same issue. CM has nothing to do with the issues of Punjab. CM does not talk to MLA, hence he does not know the issues of Punjab. The people of Delhi do not know about the issues of Punjab. That is why the issues of Punjab are missing.
• We do not have the status of five paise in the government: The MLA said that MLA does not have the status of five paise in the government. All MLAs are killing time. Sitting like a dummy. Only what is possible should be talked about. There can be no leader without a gunman. Then what is the use of talking like this?
• Becoming a gangster by selling pamphlets: On the issue of increasing gangster culture in Punjab, Pathan Majra said that the system is responsible for this. So many pamphlets are being published on the youth that they are again becoming a part of the same world. The system even made me a gangster. He said that the government should talk to the youth who have become gangsters and give them a chance to bring them back into the mainstream. Those who want to come back should be given a chance otherwise strict action should be taken against them.

Now know the important things in the FIR registered on Pathan Majra…

• Cheated the victim by pretending to be a divorcee: According to the FIR, the MLA is accused of duping a woman by telling her that he was divorced and was looking for a marriage partner. This relationship, which started with recognition on social media, gradually led to marriage and then physical abuse.
• Met through Facebook in 2013: The complainant has told that in the year 2013-14, he had met Pathan Majra through Facebook. At that time, the MLA, describing himself as a divorcee, proposed marriage and maintained the relationship for a long time.
• Anandakaraj happened, declared himself divorced: On August 14, 2021, both of them got married at Gurudwara Patti Multani in Jagraon, Ludhiana. During this time, Pathan Majra also declared herself divorced in front of the Gurudwara’s Granthi. The woman says that after marriage, she was kept in a house in Majithia Enclave, Ludhiana, where she kept living with the MLA, considering herself to be his legal wife.
• Secret revealed from election affidavit: When Pathanmajra contested the elections on AAP ticket in March 2022, in the affidavit he wrote the name of his first wife and described himself as married. Seeing this the woman came to know that in reality their divorce had never happened. It is recorded in the FIR that in this way the MLA not only cheated by lying but also continuously physically abused and raped her.
• Allegations of threats and obscene videos: The woman also alleged that the MLA made videos of intimate moments with her and later put pressure on her by threatening to make these videos viral. Even in July 2024, she received a call in which the MLA said that if she did not come to him, the video would be made public.
• FIR registered after 3 years: The victim woman had given her complaint on 14 August 2022. However, since then the police has not even registered an FIR in this matter. Now, after three years have passed, the police took cognizance of the woman’s complaint and registered a case against MLA Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra under sections 420 (fraud), 506 (threat) and 376 (rape).

Pathan Majra had fled in this Fortuner car to avoid arrest. The police recovered it.

Police claim- MLAs ran away after pushing and firing Punjab Police had detained him from Karnal in Haryana last month. Police claim that Pathan Majra pushed the police team on the way and opened fire. Police also say that during the escape, weapons were recovered from the car of Pathanmajra’s associates and one person was also arrested. A policeman was injured in this incident.
