The Indian women’s team made a 5-0 clean sweep of the series by defeating Sri Lanka by 15 runs in the fifth T20 match played in Thiruvananthapuram. With this victory, captain Harmanpreet Kaur became the captain with the most match wins in Women’s T20 International.
This match was also special from the point of view of records. Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma made the record of becoming the bowler taking the highest wicket in T-20 International. Opener Smriti Mandhana achieved another historic achievement by completing 10 thousand runs in international cricket.
