Sonu Nigam has expressed his displeasure by posting a video on Instagram. He has captioned this video to India and its pending Padma Award.

Why has the legendary singers not received the award yet?

In the video, Sonu says- ‘Two singers who have inspired singers from all over the world. We have given one to Padma Shri. He is Mohammad Rafi Saheb. There is one who has not been destined to Padma Shri, Kishore Kumar ji. Post posthumous award is being received.

Sonu pushing his words and says- ‘And among those who are also Alka Yagnik ji’s career was so long and amazing. They too have not found anything. Shreya Ghoshal has been getting her art iron for a long time. Sunidhi Chauhan has inspired the entire generation with his different voice. They have also not received the award.

Many awards have been won for singing

Sonu Nigam, who started a career as a stage singer, has the title of ‘Modern Rafi’. In his career, he has played about 6 thousand songs in more than 32 languages. For his brilliant singing, he has been awarded many more awards including the National Award, Filmfare Award. In the year 2022, Sonu Nigam has received the Padma Shri honor.

Apart from the romantic songs Sonu Nigam, many hit devotion, patriotism, rock, ghazal have also been sung.

Sharada Sinha and Pankaj Udhas got posthumously

On the eve of 26 January, 139 Padma Awards were announced by the government. The names of folk singer Sharda Sinha, Pankaj Udhas, Arijit Singh were announced for the best contribution in the field of art. Padma Vibhushan, posthumous to Sharada Sinha, Padma Bhushan was announced to Pankaj Udhas. At the same time, Arijit Singh, who is involved in the living legend, will be honored with Padma Shri.
