The NDA has announced the name of its Vice Presidential candidate. Announcing this, BJP President JP Nadda said that CP Radhakrishnan will be the Vice Presidential candidate of NDA. Currently CP Radhakrishnan is the governor of Maharashtra. JP Nadda said that the meeting of the BJP’s Parliamentary Board meeting was called to finalize the name of the post of Deputy Deputy candidate.
Born on 20 October 1957 in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, Chandrapuram Ponuswaswamy Radhakrishnan (CP Radhakrishnan) has been a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party and is currently the Governor of Maharashtra. Radhakrishnan started his political life with RSS and Jana Sangh. He was elected Lok Sabha MP from Coimbatore in 1998 and 1999. Tamil Nadu was the BJP president from 2003 to 2006.
CP Radhakrishnan’s political journey
CP Radhakrishnan was the Governor of Jharkhand from February 2023 to July 2024. Apart from this, additional charge of Telangana from March to July 2024 and the additional charge of Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry from March to August 2024 was also taken. From 31 July 2024, he has held the post of Governor of Maharashtra.

He took out a 93 -day Rath Yatra during 2004–2007 as BJP Tamil Nadu President, which aims to connect rivers, awareness and untouchability against terrorism. In Parliament, he was also the chairman of the standing committee on the textile industry. Also played an active role in committees related to many financial and public undertakings. He obtained a BBA degree from VO Chidambaram College, Coimbatore.
