Iolanda Christina Ggliotti was a famous French singer, known by the name Dalida. After doing small acting roles, he started his singing career and achieved success. In 1956, her song Bambino became a huge hit, which catapulted Dalida to stardom. Lucien Morris, who worked in a record label at this time, worked with Dalida as a promoter. With time both of them started liking each other and their closeness started increasing. In 1961, Dalida married Lucien.

However, both continued working together even after this. Dalida became a star giving hit songs after hits. He had many successful musical tours around the world. That same evening, Luigi went to a restaurant with Dalida, his ex-wife and some friends. Everyone had dinner, but Luigi returned to the hotel before the rest citing fatigue.
