“Life has become unbearable for me. I am sorry.”
These were the last words of Italian singer and actress Dalida. There was neither any accusation nor any complaint in this sentence. There was only fatigue, that too from years.
As beautiful as Dalida was to look, as much as her popularity was, her personal life was equally ugly. It was not a coincidence that 4 people came into his life at different times, he considered each of them as his life, but the outcome of every relationship was death. Someone shot himself, someone committed suicide by jumping from a tall building.
Today, read the painful story of the life of an Italian actress in 3 chapters of Ansuni Dastanen-

Iolanda Christina Ggliotti was a famous French singer, known by the name Dalida. After doing small acting roles, he started his singing career and achieved success. In 1956, her song Bambino became a huge hit, which catapulted Dalida to stardom. Lucien Morris, who worked in a record label at this time, worked with Dalida as a promoter. With time both of them started liking each other and their closeness started increasing. In 1961, Dalida married Lucien.

This relationship, which seemed beautiful in the beginning, soon started turning into daily fights and Dalida divorced Lucien in 1962 after just a year of marriage. However, both continued working together even after this. Dalida became a star giving hit songs after hits. He had many successful musical tours around the world. During a tour he met singer Luigi Tanco. Both of them sang many songs together and got into a secret relationship.

Luigi Tanco was divorced and was professionally involved with his ex-wife.
While on tour, Dalida’s manager suggested she take part in the Sanremo Music Festival with Luigi Tanco. She had earlier rejected the offer of this festival, but this time she agreed for Luigi and then came that fateful night.
27 January 1967.
Dalida attended the Sanremo Music Festival with boyfriend Luigi. Both of them gave separate performances of the French hit song Ciao Amore Ciao (Bye Bye). Dalida’s performance received a stand-up ovation, however, due to Luigi’s poor performance, both were eliminated from the competition.
That same evening, Luigi went to a restaurant with Dalida, his ex-wife and some friends. Everyone had dinner, but Luigi returned to the hotel before the rest citing fatigue.
After finishing dinner, Dalida reached the hotel at around 2 o’clock in the night. She stayed with Luigi in room number 219. As soon as they opened the door, Luigi was lying on the floor soaked in blood.

The breathing had stopped and there was a bullet mark on the forehead. Dalida was devastated. She sat there hugging the dead body for a long time. Later, hearing their screams, other people arrived. Investigation revealed that Luigi was suffering from anxiety and depression for a long time. He had also taken some medicines before the performance that day.

The world was unaware of his and Dalida’s relationship until Luigi’s death, but then on 7 February 1967, Dalida appeared on a TV show. She was wearing the same dress she had worn while hugging Luigi’s dead body. Remembering Luigi, she cried a lot in the live TV show.

It was clear from this interview that Dalida was in deep depression. A few days later, on February 26, Dalida attempted suicide by taking an overdose of sleeping pills. She was immediately hospitalized, where she remained in a coma for 5 days. Recovery from this accident took 5 months.
Somehow she came out of this shock and made a professional comeback from the tour in October. Giving continuous hits, Dalida once again joined the top singers.
By the end of the year, a 22-year-old Italian student came into Dalida’s life. Both used to live together. At this time Dalida became pregnant and had to undergo an abortion. After the abortion, the doctors told her that she would never be able to become a mother. He ended this relationship also.
11 September 1970.
Dalida received another shocking news. Her ex-husband Lucien Morris committed suicide by overdosing on sleeping pills in his own apartment. The reason was loneliness and separation from Dalida.
This was the second time in Dalida’s life that someone very close to her took his own life. Depression was at its peak, but the help of treatment and staying busy in professional career worked this time.

In 1970, Dalida was at the peak of her career. Meanwhile, he met singer Richard Shanfrey. Together they gave many hit songs.

Richard Chanfrey was a famous French actor.
After the comeback, Dalida became a close friend of French singer Mike Brent. Many songs of both were also released. It was common to spend time together and go to concerts. Mike was a popular singer in the 70s. He used to give around 250 concerts annually. Mike used to gather 10 thousand fans in concerts with his excellent voice, but on the other hand he was becoming a victim of depression.

On November 22, during a musical tour in Geneva, he attempted suicide by jumping from his manager’s hotel room. Due to this many parts of his body got fractured.

After losing two life partners, it had a bad effect on Dalida. Only a few months had passed when Mike committed suicide by jumping from the apartment on 25 April 1975.
This was the third time that someone close to Dalida embraced death. However, at this time she had the support of her boyfriend Richard Shanfrey. However, he also died in July 1983 by leaking gas in his Renault car. Due to this accident, Dalida once again became completely alone.
In the year 1985, while continuously performing concerts, the bright light had a bad effect on his eyes. He underwent 2 major surgeries, but did not get any benefit. This was the reason why he stopped doing concerts and stage shows. Before this, all his musical world tours were sold out. After taking a break from singing, he also did small roles in some films.
By 1987, Dalida’s depression started increasing. Despite this, she used to appear in every glamorous film event. She also continued to participate in many TV talk shows as a guest.
On 29 April 1987, Dalida performed in Turkey for the National Television of Turkey TV channel. Returned to Paris after the performance. She was alone at home on 2-3 May. On the night between 2-3 May 1987, he wrote in a paper, La vie m’est insupportable. Pardonnez-moi. (Life has become unbearable for me, I’m sorry).
As soon as he wrote this, he took an overdose of sleeping pills. His body was found the next morning by his house workers.

How Dalida got connected with music?
Dalida was born on 17 January 1933 in Cairo, Egypt. Dalida, who belonged to a poor family, suffered from an eye infection at the age of just 10 months, due to which she had to keep her eyes bandaged for 40 days. At the age of 3 he had two eye surgeries.
Dalida was interested in acting and modeling from an early age. His uncle used to be a projectionist of a local cinema. He often used to take Dalida to the cinema with him. Inspired by cinema, Dalida started participating in cultural programs in school. After completing her studies, Dalida started doing odd jobs to meet her household expenses. At the same time, her friend Miranda suggested her to participate in the Miss Ondine Modeling Competition. Miranda herself was also a part of it. Dalida was afraid that her family members would be against it. In such a situation, he took part in this competition secretly.

Due to her excellent performance, Dalida won second place in this beauty contest and her friend Miranda stood third. The next day, photographs of all the winners of the beauty contest were published in the newspaper Le Journal d’Egypt. Unfortunately, that newspaper fell into the hands of Dalida’s mother and in anger she cut off all of Dalida’s hair. After winning the beauty contest, she got a job in Egypt’s big modeling company Dona. At this time, Dalida went against her family and left her job and started her career as a model.
With increasing popularity in Egypt, Dalida left Egypt and settled in Paris in 1945. After getting success in modeling, she started the second innings of her career as an actress. After working in some films, he started singing, which gave him stardom.
