How are the winners of IIFA Awards chosen?

public voting

Fan participation is very important in IIFA Awards. Winners of ‘popular’ categories (such as Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Film) are chosen primarily by viewers through online voting. Audiences can vote for their favorite artistes through IIFA’s official website or other designated digital platforms.

Contribution of jury and industry

For some categories the decision does not depend only on public voting. Winners in several popular and technical categories are selected by a combination of public voting and a panel of technical juries selected by IIFA. Additionally, the winners of some categories are decided solely by the IIFA selection panel. Members of the film industry also participate in the voting process, which is often monitored by independent auditors (such as PwC) to create a transparent and systematic process.
