Reality show ‘Shark Tank India’ judge and Shaadi.com founder Anupam Mittal has complained to RBI against SBI regarding the issue of UPI payment. Anupam Mittal shared a post on social media platform X and claimed that many merchants are facing problems in making UPI payments from SBI’s app since July 20.
Anupam Mittal said in the post, ‘First of all I congratulate the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) for redefining digital payments. This was a very necessary innovation, but if we can also inspire banks to perform better with this, then it will also help.
Many merchants are getting an error while making UPI payments related to State Bank of India that ‘You have reached the maximum UPI limit set by your bank. This is not happening with other banks.’

No one in SBI is ready to accept this problem
Anupam further wrote, ‘No one from SBI is ready to accept this problem, let alone solve it. This not only shakes the trust in UPI, but also affects the transaction volume and growth of UPI, given the size of SBI.’
Please note that the issue has been resolved: SBI
Anupam has also tagged RBI in this post. SBI also gave an official reply on this post of Anupam Mittal. SBI said, ‘Please note that the problem has been resolved and all functions are working properly. If there is any problem, you can reply back.’
