14 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a century in 32 balls in the Emerging Asia Cup. Playing for India-A, he played an inning of 144 runs in 42 balls against UAE. India-A won the toss and elected to bat in Doha on Friday and scored 297 runs losing 4 wickets in 20 overs. UAE team could score only 149 runs.
Vaibhav hit 15 sixes India A, who came to bat first at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium, lost a wicket in the very second over. Priyansh Arya was run out after scoring 10 runs on 6 balls. Naman Dheer landed at number three. He remained at one end, while at the other end Vaibhav scored a century in 32 balls.
Naman was out in the 12th over after scoring 34 runs (23 balls). He hit 3 fours and 2 sixes. After Naman’s dismissal, captain Jitesh Sharma took over the innings, but at the other end, Vaibhav was out after scoring 144 runs. He hit 11 fours and 15 sixes in his innings.
Jitesh brought it close to 300 India had scored 235 runs losing 4 wickets in 16 overs. Nehal Vadhera was out after scoring 14 runs. After this, captain Jitesh along with Ramandeep Singh took the score close to 300. Jitesh scored 83 runs on 32 balls. Ramandeep remained not out after scoring 6 runs.
Mohammad Farazuddin, Ayaan Afzal Khan and Mohammad Arfan took 1-1 wicket for UAE. Muhammad Rohid, Muhammad Arfan and Harshit Kaushik could not take any wicket.
Came into limelight by scoring a century in Under-19 Vaibhav Suryavanshi came into limelight after scoring a century against Australia Under-19 in 2024. He scored a century at the age of 13. Then he became the youngest player to score a century in Under-19 international cricket.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi made his best score in T-20 cricket.
Vaibhav was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.10 crore in the mega auction before IPL 2025. He was not played the initial matches, but got a chance to open after captain Sanju Samson was injured. After not performing much in the initial matches, he scored a century against Gujarat in just 35 balls.
Youngest player to score a century in IPL Vaibhav became the youngest player to score a century in IPL. He has now scored a century in just 32 balls. This was his fastest century in T-20. Urvil Patel and Abhishek Sharma from India have scored centuries on 28 balls each. Rishabh Pant has also scored a century in 32 balls. Vaibhav has now equaled him among Indian players. In international cricket, Sahil Chauhan of Estonia has scored a century on 27 balls.
UAE could not even score 150 runs Chasing the big target of 298 runs, only Sohaib Khan from UAE could score a fifty. He scored 63 runs on 41 balls. Muhammad Arfan scored 26, Syed Haider scored 20 and Mayank Kumar scored 18 runs. None of the other players could even cross the 5 run mark. The team could score only 149 runs at the loss of 7 wickets.
Gurjapneet Singh took 3 wickets for 18 runs for India-A. Left arm spinner Harsh Dubey got 2 wickets. Yash Thakur and Ramandeep Singh took 1-1 wicket. Suyyash Sharma, Naman Dheer and Nehal Wadhera could not take any wicket.
