Sweden’s Climate Minister Romina Purmokhtari arrived at the European Union (EU) Climate Ministers meeting on Thursday with her 3-month-old son Adam. According to EU Council officials, this is the first time an infant has attended a ministerial meeting. Romina, 30, said she wanted to show that women should not be forced to choose between motherhood and a career. He said that this is possible only when there is full support from the family and government policies. Sweden has one of the most generous parental leave policies in the world. There, parents get a total of 16 months of paid leave. Out of this, 90 days are allotted for the mother and 90 days for the father.
