Zico said, ‘The referee’s decision was wrong. This is clearly injustice to our team. He ruined the hard work of the entire country.

Egypt objected to two decisions. Mostafa Zico’s goal was disallowed after a VAR review for a foul during the match. The team also claimed that they should have received a penalty for an alleged foul on Hamdi Fathi. Argentina scored the winning goal soon after.
