Businessman and former IPL chairman Lalit Modi said that a film is going to be made on his life and work on its script is going on. He told that actor Ranveer Singh had shown interest in playing his role.

Speaking to news agency ANI, Lalit Modi said that his entire team is working on this project. However, the story is still being finalized.

When he was asked who he wanted to see in his role, he took the name of Ranveer Singh. Modi said, ‘Ranveer Singh wanted to play my role. He himself came to me. I would also like him to play my role, but now he has become such a big star that I don’t know whether he will have time or not.

Lalit Modi said- We met two years ago

Lalit Modi said, ‘Someone had talked to him about this. I didn’t know Ranveer. I knew Deepika well, but had never met Ranveer. Then one day I got a call that Ranveer wanted to meet you. He came to London to meet me. This happened about two years ago. In that meeting, he had said that if he gets a chance to play any character in his life, he would like to play the role of Lalit Modi as IPL Commissioner.

Modi also said, ‘This thing started from here. I didn’t tell him. I think he is a great actor. He has done great work in his career. Now I don’t know whether he still wants to play my role or not, but two years ago we were sitting in this same house and discussed about this role. We were going to take it forward. Currently, work on the script of the biopic is going on.

Lalit Modi was also the first commissioner of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Modi told that this will not be just his personal story. The film will also show the story of the birth of IPL and its transformation into the world’s biggest cricket league. He said that it will be a big production and a lot of hard work is going into making it.
