Seeing this, the police personnel deployed for security took immediate action, pushed the young man out of the crowd, snatched the pipe and took him into custody.
In fact, Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh reached Kundar Baraj village of Chanan block of Lakhisarai on Saturday on a one-day visit. While the party workers and supporters present were welcoming, a deranged youth reached into the crowd with an iron pipe and started waving the pipe. There was huge chaos on the spot after seeing the young man waving the pipe like a weapon. He was trying to move straight towards the minister, seeing which questions were raised on the security arrangements.
At the same time, as soon as the incident of pipe waving was witnessed, the police personnel, who were ready to provide security to the minister, showed promptness. The soldiers immediately pushed the young man away from the crowd and snatched the iron pipe from his hand and threw it away. After this the policemen took him under their custody and started surveillance.
Claim of not getting wages in barrage
After being caught, the young man told that he had worked in the barrage bridge, but had not received the money for his wages. He was going to his boss to express his views. At the same time, police personnel say that the young man is mentally ill.
