The American soldier who fought for Russia in the war against Ukraine has been awarded an order of Lenin Medal posthumously. According to the BBC report, the American youth was named Michael Gloss (21). He was killed last year while fighting for Ukraine Russia.
Michael was the son of Julian Galina, a senior officer of the US intelligence agency CIA. Galina is the deputy director of digital innovation in CIA. Michael was admitted to the Russian army in the winter 2023.
Michael posted a selfie from Moscow’s Red Square and called the Ukraine War a proxy war on social media and called Western media as propaganda. Russian media reported his death in April 2024.

On 6 August, Putin handed over the medal to Trump’s special messenger Steve Witchoff.
CIA described Michael as a mental patient
The CIA continued to say that Michael was struggling with mental health problems. The agency has not considered his death an issue of national security.
Michael’s father Larry Gloss joined the Iraq War for America. They said that,
We were afraid that no one in Russia should know the identity of his mother and use it with political purpose.

Kremlin has not officially accepted the ‘Order of Lenin’ medal. It is a major civilian honor of the Soviet era. It is not yet clear where the medal went. The White House, CIA and Vistoff did not comment on it.
