UAE may become the first Gulf country to directly participate in this war. In recent days, Iran has intensified missile and drone attacks on UAE. So far, about 2500 attacks have taken place, in which civilian structures like airports, residential buildings and oil facilities have been damaged. The UAE official told WSJ that Iran is fighting to save its life, so it is ready to destroy the entire world economy. UAE believes that if the proposal is approved by the UNSC, then the currently hesitant Asian and European countries can also come forward to help in opening Hormuz. The report quoted Gulf officials as saying that even if the resolution does not pass, the UAE is still ready to support the military efforts. The closure of the Strait of Hormuz is affecting the UAE’s oil supplies, shipping and food supplies. It considers it the lifeline of its economy. The UAE is considering removing mines, providing logistics support and playing an active role in the US-led operation. It has resources like Jebel Ali Port, airbase and modern fighter jets. Ships passing through here have to pass very close to the mountainous coast of Iran. This is the reason why Iran takes advantage of this area and attacks its enemies.
