The uncut version of Ranveer Singh starrer film ‘Dhurandhar’ ‘Dhurandhar Raw and Undekha’ is going to be streamed on OTT platforms Netflix and JioHotstar from tomorrow i.e. 22nd May. Netflix and JioHotstar gave this information by sharing a post on social media on Wednesday.
‘Dhurandhar Raw and Undekha’ version will be available in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. This film was released in theaters on 5 December last year and after that it was released on Netflix on 30 January.
This announcement has come at a time when the Delhi High Court has asked the Central Government and the Censor Board to investigate the allegations of showing confidential army information in the second part of the film.
Streaming date of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ also decided The makers have also announced the release date of the second part of the film ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge Raw and Andekha’. This part will premiere on June 4 at 7 pm. After this, from June 5, viewers will be able to watch it only on JioHotstar. Both the parts of the film have made big records at the box office and the story of both the films has been liked a lot by the audience.
Legal dispute is going on over the second part The new version of the film is coming at a time when a legal dispute is going on in the Delhi High Court regarding its second part. Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) head constable Deepak Kumar has filed a PIL in the court.
It has been alleged in the petition that secret information related to army operations has been shown in the film, which may threaten the security and integrity of the country.
Court gave instructions to Central Government and Censor Board While hearing this case, Delhi High Court said that even though the film is fictional, the issues raised by a security personnel cannot be ignored. The court has asked the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Central Government and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to investigate these allegations.
The court has directed that it should be investigated whether the film has violated the Official Secrets Act.
Both parts earned ₹3000 crore worldwide
Ranveer Singh starrer films Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar 2 together have earned more than Rs 3,000 crore worldwide. After this it became the first Indian film franchise to earn more than Rs 3,000 crore.
Dhurandhar 2 did well at the box office and made a record of becoming the second highest grossing film in India. The film has so far earned around ₹1145 crore net collection in India and around ₹1797 crore gross worldwide.
Whereas Dhurandhar, released on 5 December 2025, had collected around ₹ 1,307.35 crore worldwide.
