Türkiye and China openly supported Pakistan during military confrontation with India. Now the tremors of earthquake have been felt one after the other in these three countries. Mim Fest has started on the Internet with this. Social media users in India are calling these tremors of earthquakes a warning of nature for China, Türkiye and Pakistan. In order to avenge the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, there was a lower intensity earthquake from Pakistan, between Operation Sindoor launched by India. Then after the announcement of a ceasefire with India on May 10, the tremors were felt for two consecutive days in Pakistan. The seismic activity was mainly concentrated in the northern and western regions of the country and this happened at a time when India and Pakistan were almost on the verge of war.
On May 12, a 4.6 magnitude earthquake occurred in Pakistan, while on the morning of 10 May, two earthquakes occurred in a row, whose intensity was 4.7 and 4.0 respectively. According to geologists and meteorological experts, it occurred due to the movement in tectonic plates in the seismically active Himalayan region, which is a common phenomenon in the region. This was followed by a powerful earthquake in Türkiye on the evening of 15 May, the intensity of which was measured at 5.2 on the Richter scale. According to Iran’s official news agency Meher, the influence of the earthquake was also felt in Turkish capital Ankara. There was no loss of life and property in this incident. The incident occurred after an earthquake of 6.1 magnitude on Wednesday morning near Fry in Greece.
According to the United States Geological Survey, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 78 km at 1:51 am local time. Earthquake tremors were felt from Cairo in Egypt to Israel, Lebanon and Jordan. It is being told that the earthquake struck Konya province of the Central Anatolia region of Türkiye. However, there was no loss of life and property in it. Earlier in April, there was a 5.2 magnitude earthquake in other parts of Turkey, including Istanbul, causing widespread panic in a 16 million population and there was a limited loss to infrastructure, in which many people were injured. Given the size of the earthquake, the center was in the sea south-east of Greece, local authorities issued a tsunami warning as a precaution.

Türkiye is also located on many active seismic fault lines, which makes it susceptible to earthquake. This area is known for the earthquake of more intensity. According to Türkiye’s Disaster Management Authority, there is a 5.0 magnitude earthquake in the country every year. Earlier this year, several earthquakes occurred on the island of Santorini, many of which were more than 5 on the Richter scale, but there was no major damage during that time. In February 2023, there were powerful earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria. The first earthquake was of 7.8 intensity, followed by the second earthquake of 7.5 magnitude. Along with this, many powerful shocks were felt, causing the buildings to collapse. 59,000 people died in Türkiye and 8,000 in Syria.
There was a 4.5 magnitude earthquake in China on the morning of 16 May. The earthquake occurred at around 6:29 am, which was at a depth of 10 km at 25.05 degrees northern latitude and 99.72 degrees. No reports of any casualties or losses have been found in this incident. A few days ago, on May 12, at 02:41 am, there was a 5.6 magnitude earthquake in Tibet and parts of China at a depth of 9 km. According to experts, earthquakes on a low giri are more dangerous, as seismic waves have to cover a short distance to reach the Earth’s surface, causing more damage. China is located on the Eurasian tectonic plate and is one of the most earth-affected countries in the world.
