There has been a cyber attack on three big airports in Europe. These include Heathro Airport in London, Berlin Airport in Germany and Brussels Airport in Belgium.

Check-in and boarding systems at these airports came to a standstill on Saturday due to cyber attack. This delayed many flights. Also, some flights have to be canceled.

Passengers have to check in manually due to the check-in and boarding system stalled. This has affected the flight schedule.

By Saturday afternoon, more than 140 flights from Heathro Airport were delayed. It has affected more than 100 flights in Brussels and more than 60 flights in Berlin.

According to Brussels Airport officials, there was a cyber attack on the airport’s check-in and the service provider company on Friday night.

Hackers targeted the System of Colins Aerospace

Hackers have targeted the System of Colins Aerospace Company. This company provides check-in and boarding systems at these airports.

RTX, a parent company of Colins Aerospace, has said that they are trying to fix the problem soon. Large airports in Europe like Frankfurt and Zurich have survived the attack.

More than 1800 flight late in America, hundreds canceled

More than 1800 flights were delayed at two airports in Dallas, USA on Friday. Telecom system malfunctioned on these airports.

Due to this, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) released the ground stop. FAA reported that local telecom company has malfunctions.

Due to this malfunction, American Airlines canceled more than 200 flights and delayed more than 500 flights. Southwest Airlines also delayed over 1100 flights.
