A shocking case has come to light from Ballabhgarh area of Faridabad, where a living person has been declared dead in the government records. Pawan Kumar, 49, resident of Mirzapur village, has been visiting government offices for the last two years to get his identity corrected, but till now he has not got any relief.
Pawan Kumar says that he is being shown dead in government documents since the year 2024. Due to this mistake, their lives have been affected and they are being deprived of many important government schemes and facilities.

Difficulties increased due to being recorded as ‘dead’ in government records
According to Pawan Kumar, he has repeatedly complained to the District Deputy Commissioner’s office, Samadhan Camp and other departments to get this error corrected. But every time they have received only assurances, not solutions.
Due to this mistake, not only is their identity being questioned, but they are also facing problems at the social and economic level. Their problems have increased further as benefits of many schemes have been stopped.

The victim Pawan Kumar told that he has been continuously visiting government offices for the last two years. Every time they are involved in the process of checking and correcting documents.
He says that he has repeatedly appealed to the authorities, but till now there has been no permanent solution to his problem. This situation has affected his life both mentally and financially.
Questions raised on negligence of the system
This case exposes the serious negligence of the government record system. A living person being recorded dead in the records is not only an administrative error, but it is also affecting the rights of the common citizen.
