West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has expressed displeasure over the poor performance of INDIA block in Haryana-Maharashtra and by-elections.
In an interview given to a TV channel, he said – I had formed and formed the ‘India’ alliance. Now it is up to the leaders to organize it. If they can’t run it properly, what can they do? All I would say is that there is a need to take everyone along.
Mamta said- If I get a chance, I will definitely lead this alliance. I don’t want to go out of Bengal, but I will run the alliance from here. I can fulfill both the responsibilities while being the Chief Minister here.

Mamata Banerjee was asked about her successor in the party. In response to this he said- TMC is a disciplined party. Here no leader can set his own conditions. The party will decide what is best for the people. We have MLAs, MPs, booth workers, who will decide who will take over the party after me.

Mamta said- Elections are not won through strategists
On the question of taking the help of election strategist Prashant Kishor, Mamta said – Some strategists do surveys sitting at home and later change the survey. They can plan and organize things, but cannot bring voters to the booth.
Only booth workers know the villages and people, these are the only people who win elections. Election strategists are just artists, who do their work in exchange for money, but elections are not won through them.

INDIA has got 234 seats in the Lok Sabha elections. This includes 99 seats of Congress, 29 seats of Trinamool Congress and 37 seats of Samajwadi Party. The majority figure is 272.
