- Jammu Kashmir Drug Smugglers Arrested | 1018 Nabbed, 341kg Narcotics Seized

A big campaign is being run against drug smuggling and narco-terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir Police has registered 923 FIRs and arrested 1,018 drug smugglers and detained 55 people under the stringent provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act (PIT-NDPS).
During this period, 341 kg of narcotics were seized, which included 12 kg of heroin worth Rs 120 crore and more than 23 thousand banned narcotic pills. To break the back of smugglers, the administration has taken action against their properties worth more than Rs 200 crore.
Heavy surveillance is being done near schools and hospitals to prevent drug abuse, under which more than 6,400 medical stores have been inspected and about 6,881 CCTV cameras have been installed at sensitive places.

PWD department will conduct fire safety audit of all government buildings in Delhi, its certificate will have to be issued every year.

The Public Works Department (PWD) of Delhi has ordered a fire safety audit of all government buildings. According to the order of the department, all the concerned engineers of Eastern, Northern and Southern zones will have to complete the inspection of each of their buildings by the end of next month i.e. on or before June 25 and issue its certificate every year.
PWD has taken this step after the recent changes made by the Delhi Government in the rules of Delhi Fire Service. Under the new rules, it has now been made mandatory to get the safety inspection of government and non-government buildings done by an external expert i.e. a third party, and only after this complete process and investigation, a fire safety certificate will be issued for the building.
Three minor boys who had gone to swim in a pond in Karnataka died, had gone to a relative’s house during holidays.

Three minor boys, who had gone to swim in a pond in Dharwad, Karnataka, died due to drowning on Saturday. According to the police, this incident took place near Singanahalli village of Garag police station area between 4 to 4:15 pm.
Dharwad Superintendent of Police (SP) Gunjan Arya said that the ages of the boys who drowned were 12, 15 and 16 years, who were relatives. Two of these boys were residents of Singanahalli village, while the third boy had come to stay at his relatives’ house during holidays.
Initial investigation has revealed that the three boys had entered the water with the help of a thermocol sheet to swim. But due to heavy silt (mud) at the bottom of the pond, they got stuck in it and drowned.
Delhi online gaming and betting racket busted, 6 people arrested

Gurugram Police have arrested six people linked to a cyber crime racket involved in committing fraud through online gaming and betting platforms by raiding an apartment in Delhi’s Janakpuri area.
According to the police, bank account kits, SIM cards and QR codes were supplied to the accused through WhatsApp. After appearing in the court on Saturday, the main accused Nishant and Shoaib have been taken on police remand for three days, further interrogation of them is going on.
