Mallikarjun Kharge had given a controversial statement on April 7 regarding BJP and RSS in Assam.
The BJP on Wednesday lodged a complaint with the Election Commission over Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge comparing the BJP-RSS with poisonous snakes. A BJP delegation reached the Election Commission office. BJP demanded that an FIR be lodged against Kharge for his inflammatory statements. Along with this, he should be stopped from giving speeches.
In fact, while addressing a rally in Assam on April 6, Kharge had said that if you are offering Namaz and a poisonous snake comes, then you have to leave the Namaz and kill it, this is said in the Quran. These RSS and BJP are poisonous snakes, if you don’t kill them you will not be saved.
Amit Shah had hit back at this statement of Kharge on Tuesday itself. Shah had said in a rally in Assam that the public will answer this statement with votes and after April 9, Congress will not be visible even through binoculars.

April 5: Kharge calls people of Gujarat illiterate, then apologizes
Kharge had said in Idukki, Kerala on April 5 that the people of the state are ‘educated and intelligent’ and cannot be misled, while the people of Gujarat and some other places are ‘illiterate’.
