Rubina Dilaik was born on 26 August 1987 in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.

Had to listen to abuse from the director

Rubina was also humiliated during the shooting of ‘Chhoti Bahu’. She tells that in the first shot I gave 17 retakes. Seeing this, the director got angry and abused him and said – ‘Where did you get this box of apples from, send it back.’

In the initial days of her career, Rubina was also insulted for her looks. During the look test, he was asked to play a negative role as a lead role would not suit him. However, he did not give up. Due to his seriousness towards work, he gradually started getting success. Meanwhile, in 2011, she also became a victim of alleged fraud by a producer.

Producer stopped payment, fined Rs 16 lakh

The producer had imposed a fine of Rs 16 lakh on him accusing him of delay in work and being unprofessional and also stopped his payment. To compensate for this loss, Rubina had to sell her house and vehicles.

In an interview given to ‘Bollywood Bubble’, Rubina had told, ‘This is from 2011. I worked for about 9 months, but my payment was stopped. I called the production house and the director several times. Visited their office and requested them to make my payment.

After about nine months, he was shown a record in which the delay in the shooting and the loss incurred due to it were accounted for. According to Rubina, on this basis a penalty of around Rs 16 lakh was imposed on me.

Rubina claims that many incidents recorded in the records were wrong. He told that during the shooting in Mud Island, he was bitten by an insect, due to which he had high fever for a few hours. According to him, a loss of around Rs 1.45 lakh due to this delay was added to his account and he had to compensate it.

Had to sell house and car

This matter badly affected his financial condition. Rubina said that I was not even able to pay the home loan EMI. Under compulsion, he had to sell both his houses bought in Mumbai. Also sold my cars so that I could fulfill my commitments.

Rubina says that this period proved to be a big learning for her. I don’t regret my decisions. During this time I was completely broken and had no work for almost two years. In such a situation, he decided to live in a rented house.

Suffered from depression and started having thoughts of suicide

Rubina met Avinash Sachdev on the sets of ‘Chhoti Bahu’. Both were in a relationship for many years, but later they broke up. Rubina was devastated after the breakup. In an interview given to ‘Bollywood Bubble’ he had told that I had depression. Had suicidal thoughts.

Even during Bigg Boss 14, he had admitted that about 9 years ago he had thoughts of suicide. Later, with the help of yoga, meditation and self-healing, he brought himself out of that phase.
