Prime Minister Modi reached Rio de Janeiro, Brazil directly from Nigeria for the G20 Summit.
The 19th G20 Summit is starting from today in Brazil. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to attend the summit. Here the people of the Indian community welcomed him.
The summit will run for two days on 18th and 19th November. 19 countries and 2 organizations (European Union and African Union) are part of the G20. The G20 summit was organized in India in 2023.

Modi-Jinping can meet for the second time in a month
PM Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping meeting during the BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia on October 23.
Chinese President Xi Jinping will also reach Rio for the G20 summit. There is a possibility of bilateral talks between the two leaders on the sidelines of the conference. If Modi and Jinping meet in Brazil, it will be the second meeting of these two leaders within a month.
Earlier on October 23, the two leaders met after five years at the BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia. Here they talked for 50 minutes. During this, PM Modi had said that maintaining peace and stability on the border should be our priority. After this, India and China had called forces from Depsang and Demchok.
After the Galwan clash on the India-China border in 2020, there was no bilateral meeting between the two leaders till the 2024 BRICS Summit.
