A road accident took place on Saturday near MIET College on Delhi-Dehradun Highway. In this accident, the car of former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat collided with each other. Harish Rawat was not injured in the accident, but his car was damaged.

After the accident, Harish Rawat posted on social media and informed people about his well-being. He wrote, ‘I am completely fine, there is nothing to worry about. Yes, the car has definitely suffered some damage. At present the police is investigating the matter as to what caused the accident.
How did the accident happen?
Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat was going from Delhi to Dehradun with his convoy on Saturday evening. He was given a police escort from the Meerut border itself, behind which his other vehicles continued to move. There was heavy traffic on the highway due to the festival.
Near MIET College, the escort car moving ahead suddenly applied brakes, due to which Harish Rawat’s car collided with it. The front part of his car was damaged in the accident. Immediately the former Chief Minister was taken out of his vehicle and made to sit in another vehicle of the convoy. After this his convoy moved ahead safely.
The police have parked the accident vehicle at the nearest Toyota agency. The former Chief Minister is completely healthy and has not suffered any kind of injury.
